Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) – ABYEI
The Accelerated Learning Program is an opportunity for the humble back ground learners and underprivileged members of the community to be able to attend School and have an Education. With no financial demands or burden, they are able to fully attend a formal Education curriculum and also sit for National Exam with which they will attain the Primary Leaving Certificate
Currently in our ALP Program we have 310 Females (Mostly young mothers) and 149 Males, these beneficiaries are attending from Level One to Level Four.
At PEO, we facilitate and provide the financial charges in order to relieve the learners from such burdens and allow them to focus on their education. Level four learners currently (107 females and 50 Males) are yet to sit for their Primary Leaving Examination. This opportunity will give them a chance to further their studies for more opportunities ahead.
This program also benefits Community Protection Committee (CPC) who as they serve the community, they are also able to go to school. Currently in our program we have 60 Males who are working in CPC and also attending their regular afternoon classes.
Our teachers are selected by the Ministry of Education and Verified by our Human Resource team to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effective deliver to the learners. PEO supports these teachers with monthly incentives and in partnership with the Ministry of Education, we conduct inspection and compile weekly reports to monitor progress being made and any challenges faced.

ASEP Program -ABYEI
The ASEP program is another opportunity and continuation of what ALP offers, here the Secondary course of 4 years is accelerated to 2 years (LEVEL 5 AND LEVEL 6). Level 5 undertakes the syllabus of Senior One and Senior Two, while Level 6 is Senior Three and Senior Four
This program is designed to support drop outs from humble backgrounds, young mothers, refugees and returnees and others who quit school or dropped out due to various challenges that they may have faced. At level 6 they are eligible to sit for the Secondary School Examination Certificate.
PEO takes on the responsibility of registering the candidates by paying the required fee for the forms. Currently we have registered 30 learners who will sit for their senior four exams this 2024. We have qualified teachers who conduct afternoon and evening lessons with these learners on a daily basis.
Our objective is to ensure that these learners can be kept in school until they complete their formal education at level 6. Hereafter they have higher chances of pursuing further education and better opportunities to get jobs.

Intensive English Course
PEO in collaboration with supporting partners are setting up an intensive English course level 1 and level 2 for beginners, we aim to eradicate the barriers caused in society by the lack of English language. This challenge has left many unwilling to take a step in their educational journey and furthermore has limited opportunities for good jobs. This initiative will help adjust on the narrative and will encourage them to join the ALP program after.
